The purpose of this book is to help you help others talk with God. It’s a pilgrimage from the basics of saying a brief public prayer, to leading small group prayer, and concludes with guiding congregational prayer. Whether you’re a new Christian, just beginning your prayer walk with God, or a veteran prayer warrior; you’ll find new insights all along the way. It’s titled Prayer Guide because it will train you to ‘guide’ others into the presence of God. It’s called a manual because it’s intended to be used and reused through the years as you grow in your service to Christ.God’s people want to pray, but they’re tired of stuffy, public prayer. Try the techniques in this book. Dare to be different. Never again be satisfied with boring, lifeless prayer. Get a vision of the throne room and guide others to it. Look at the table of contents and you'll see that virtually every prayer leadership situation is covered. It's devided into five parts to facilitate teaching and make it easier to find information on a particular prayer leadership need. There's also a study guide at the end of each chapter. Journey Into the Presence of God A Pilgrimage of Prayer Do you want desperately for your church to be a house of prayer, but even though prayer is emphasized and there’s an effective prayer ministry, you still feel something’s missing? What’s missing in many churches is congregational prayer at the heart of worship and effective corporate prayer in small groups. The problem isn’t a lack of desire, but that the vast majority of ministers and laymen have never been taught the skills of leading group prayer. To meet this need I’m offering the Journey Into the Presence of God - a pilgrimage of prayer. It's not a revival though many are revived spiritually as they encounter God personally. It's not a conference though I teach break-out sessions on the Prayer Guide principles and techniques. It truly is a prayer pilgrimage. In every worship service and session I lead a 'guided' prayer time of at least five minutes. Folks are not only motivated and informed; they enter the presence of God. This is new prayer territory for most - including many pastors and staff. Regularly they tell me that they knew the facts I was teaching, but had never put them together in such a practical and powerful way. If you feel that your church might benefit from the Journey Into the Presence of God; you'll be wanting more information. Here are several options.
I look forward to hearing from you. Lowell Snow |
