Prayer Empowering Weekend
This is one of five weekends in the Church Renewal Journey sponsored by the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Your church does not have to commit to all five weekends to host the prayer weekend.
The teaching sessions in the Prayer Empowering Weekend are written by Lowell Snow and parallel sessions in the Journey Into the Presence of God conference above. There are four options for leading them:
- One of the visiting volunteer team members can teach the sessions.
- The pastor of the hosting church can teach the sessions using the materials provided.
- DVDs of Lowell Snow provided with the materials can be used as video sessions.
- The church can host Lowell Snow to come and teach the sessions. (honorarium involved)
This is a Lay Renewal Weekend. Laymen in the hosting church make virtually all the preparations and a team of laymen from other cities volunteer their time to come and lead the conference.
This video is a promotion for all Lay Renewal Weekends but gives you a good idea of what the Prayer Empowering Weekend would be like in your church.
